FrenchExam.ie Course FAQs
Everything you need to know about lessons, access, payments and joining the Higher Level French programme.
About the programme
How is this different from a general revision app?
FrenchExam.ie is a complete Higher Level French programme, rather than a general multi-subject library. One structured 30–45 minute lesson is released each week from September to May, in a sequence designed by a French specialist.
Are the lessons live or recorded?
Lessons are pre-recorded. Students can watch at a suitable time, pause when needed and revisit lessons throughout their access period.
How long is each lesson?
Lessons generally last between 30 and 45 minutes, depending on the topic.
What does the programme cover?
It covers Higher Level oral, listening, reading, written production, grammar, vocabulary and examination technique across the school year.
Does Nicola correct individual work?
No. This is a self-paced recorded programme and does not include individual correction of homework, essays or oral recordings, or live one-to-one tuition.
Students and access
Is it suitable for fifth- and sixth-year students?
Yes. Fifth-year students can build foundations and begin oral preparation early. Sixth-year students can use it for structured preparation across the complete Higher Level examination.
What platform are the lessons on?
Lessons are hosted in a dedicated online members area. Login information is provided by email and students can access it from a suitable internet-connected device.
How long will I have access?
Access runs through to the end of the Leaving Certificate examinations, allowing students to revisit lessons up to exam day.
Can I join after the weekly programme starts?
The weekly programme has a published enrolment deadline. After it closes, students can join the Higher Level Intensive Revision Programme when available and receive access to the complete course.
Payments and enrolment
How is this different from weekly grinds?
FrenchExam.ie provides a complete structured online programme at a lower overall cost than weekly individual grinds. It offers expert Higher Level teaching, but it is not live one-to-one tuition and does not include individual correction.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes. You can choose eight monthly payments of €24 instead of paying €188 upfront. This is a fixed payment plan, not a cancel-anytime subscription, and ends automatically after the eighth payment.
Are the Comprehensive French Notes included?
The notes, valued at €19.99, are included with full upfront payment for the Full Year or Intensive Revision Programme. They are not included with the eight-instalment option.
What happens after I enrol?
You will receive a checkout confirmation by email. Members-area access information will then be sent in accordance with the programme arrangements stated when you enrol.
Still unsure? Email bonjour@frenchexam.ie before enrolling and Nicola will be happy to clarify how the programme works.
